Hot-Air balloons decorate the sky with every color in the rainbow. Great Falls is located on the Androscoggin River, which joins the twin cities of Auburn and Lewiston, Maine. Three separate fields launch balloons, and it is a special treat to see them flying over the river and the bridges connecting the cities! Held in mid-August, the festival has plenty of food, crafts, live entertainment the whole family, and even belly-dancing.
