TuboHotel is a unique hotel that has utilized inexpensive materials to provide affordable accommodations to its customers.
Tubo means tube in spanish. In 2006 architect Andreas Strauss used recycled concrete pipes to create a tiny houses to be used as hotel rooms.

Located in Tepoztlan, Mexico there are beautiful views of the Sierra on this property. They call the area Pueblo Magico which means magic village. The goal here was to not only build inexpensively but to also do it fast. The purpose of the property is to serve tourists in the area.

At $500 pesos a night (that’s about $35) you can spend a night in your very own tube home. They’re laid out in a unique way where the tubes are stacked like pyramids. There’s a total of 20 units you can stay in along with two bathrooms–one for men and the other for women. You’ll also find picnic tables underneath umbrellas throughout the property.

If that’s too luxurious you can also opt to camp out with your own tent for $150 pesos a night.

Since these rooms are so small the hotel has two private bath houses for your use during your stay. Just make sure you bring a robe, sandals and your favorite soap and shampoo. They’ll have the hot water ready.

To Sua Ocean Trench is one extraordinary wonder of nature. This beautiful pool is located in Lotofaga village, Samoa. To Sua in translation means “big hole” and a deep one – 30m to the bottom. This natural “hole” is converted into a large swimming area, that attracts a lot tourist.

You can acces the pool via a long ladder, that takes you into clear blue sea water. The whole site is surrounded with beautiful colorful gardens, so if you are into nature photography or just swimming, that is the right place for you.

Also if you feel like walking, there are interesting sites nearby you can visit, blowholes and an incredible little beach on the western side.

A seashell or sea shell, also known simply as a shell, is a hard, protective outer layer created by an animal that lives in the sea. The shell is part of the body of the animal. Empty seashells are often found washed up on beaches by beachcombers. The shells are empty because the animal has died and the soft parts have been eaten by another animal or have rotted out. The term seashell usually refers to the exoskeleton of an invertebrate (an animal without a backbone). Most shells that are found on beaches are the shells of marine mollusks, partly because many of these shells endure better than other seashells. Apart from mollusk shells, other shells that can be found on beaches are those of barnacles, horseshoe crabs and brachiopods. Marine annelid worms in the family Serpulidae create shells made of calcareous tubes cemented onto other surfaces. The shells of sea urchins are called tests, and the moulted shells of crabs and lobsters are called exuviae. While most seashells are external, some cephalopods have internal shells.

Githorn – a village in Holland, founded in the beginning of the XIII century, immigrants from the Mediterranean region. Today, this movement on the streets of the village is by boat only. In another part of the village as there are bike paths. Githorn is a beautiful place, which managed to preserve the beauty and charm of the Dutch village of XVIII century. The second name of the village – Venice of the North.

Carnival season has started in Brazil and that means scantily clad women wearing giant feathers. We don’t know if ladies in carnival costumes is a fetish, but if not it should be. It takes most of the year to build the outfits these dancers wear. They all have to be made by hand, presumably by some old ladies that probably wore similar outfits in their day. Carnival marks the beginning of the Lenten season, when people abstain in remembrance of Christ’s death. What that has to do with half-naked women dancing on giant floats we’re not sure. Perhaps it’s an obscure theological point we missed in Sunday school. Still, it is the most popular event in all of South America.

The 2012 Brazil Carnival is bigger and brighter than ever as the nation aims to shows the world that it’s ready to host the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Rio Olympics.
Flanked by samba queens and doused in confetti, Rio de Janeiro’s mayor symbolically handed control of the city over to the Carnival King on Friday to kick off the five-day event.

“I am giving over a city at the height of its rebirth,” Mayor Eduardo Paes said as he relinquished control to Milton Junior, this year’s King Momo. Serving as King Momo, Junior will act as a mythical jester reigning over the city streets full of roving bands, dancing teams, and drinking revelers.

Some 400 street parties were scheduled for the 2012 Rio Carnival with this weekend’s Cordao da Bola Petra parade attracting a record 2.3 million revelers, according to police figures. Rio’s Carnival attendees are expected to spend $640 million and generate roughly 250,000 temporary jobs, mostly in the tourism sector.

“Acqua alta” (high water) is a phenomenon which generally takes place in Venice in Autumn and Winter, when a combination of astronomical tide, strong south wind (scirocco) can cause a larger inflow of water into the Venetian Lagoon. But the risk of acqua alta should not prevent you from visiting the city. The floods do not take place everyday and last only a few hours, especially in the area around St Mark’s square, the lowest point of Venice. So pack good waterproof footwear and plenty of warm clothes and stride through the fascinating morning mist that envelops the whole city! Winter in Venice is the season of cold temperatures, icy winds from the sea, quiet streets, misty views and…hot chocolate! In cold weather, you shouldn’t miss the Venetian hot chocolate with whipped cream. Viziovirtù, located in San Tomà in Calle del Campaniel, 15 minutes walk from St. Mark’s Square, is definitely one of the best chocolate shops in Venice and serves a mouthwatering hot chocolate with classic or spicy flavors. Since the days are short in winter, I would suggest you to go sightseeing until early in the afternoon and later enjoy the evening in a cozy restaurant or a romantic wine bar.
